Dr Igor Sedov obtained his Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry (Nizhny Novgorod State University by N.I. Lobachevsky, Russia, chemical faculty) in 2006 and his candidate degree (PhD) in specialty 02.00.06. – High-Molecular Compounds (Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPCP RAS)); theme of dissertation: “Polymerization and Copolymerization of Ethylene under the Action of Soluble and Heterogeneous Catalysts based on (C5H5)4Zr and (C5H5)4Ti”.
Igor Sedov has been working in the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2005, including as Head of Laboratory since 2013, as Head of Department since 2016. Dr Sedov actively participates in scientific and organizational activities, being a member of the Scientific Council in IPCP RAS (since 2013), a member of the editorial board of the journal Catalysis in Industry (2012 – 2018), deputy editor-in-chief of the journal Petroleum Chemistry (since 2019) and Scientific secretary of Russian Academy of Science Council on Chemical Physics (since 2019).
Since 2012 he is senior lecturer at the Faculty of Fundamental Physical and Chemical Engineering in M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. With his participation, two original courses of lectures have been prepared and are being read.
Works performed with the participation of I.V. Sedov have repeatedly received awards at various competitions, as well as awards of regional administrations.
